From the publisher:

For the last ten years, Winning Low Limit Hold'em has been the reference standard introduction to Texas Hold'em. Experienced hold'em players give this book to their friends who want to learn the game. Recently updated and expanded to include coverage of online poker and no-limit hold'em single-table tournaments, this is the one book that you need to start your hold'em career. "I always thought poker was a game of luck. After reading Lee's book and applying the techniques recommended, it was as if I were in The Matrix. It all came clear to me. I simply saw the truth at the poker table." - Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari, Winner, 2004 L.A. Poker Classic and 2004 World Series of Poker $2000 Pot Limit Hold'em event. "I wish this book had been out when I started playing hold'em, because it is a great way to learn the game. If you want to put yourself on the path to becoming a top hold'em player, Lee's book is the place to start." - Greg Raymer, Champion, 2004 World Series of Poker.

Independent Reviews

This book is as good an introduction to winning play at low limit texas holdem as I've seen. Even though the book is not without flaws, there are many thousands of players in card clubs all over the world that could save a great deal of money each year by reading this book. In addition, Lee Jones covers enough material in new ways to make this book worth while to more advanced players. Winning Low Limit Hold'em does not replace Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players, but it does serve as a reasonable and accessible introduction to it.(thepokerforum.com)

This should be everyone's first poker book for low limit holdem. It explains the necessary tools in order to make money at low limits. The reading is very easy and should take about a day or two to finish. I would recommend reading it twice or even three times. The more you read it the more you will understand how to win at low limits. The question and answer sections are a great way to fully digest the material.(everypoker.com)

While the book was written before the online poker revolution, you can easily compare the wild cardroom games discussed with loose online tables. This is a testament to tight-aggressive play and this will help to show you why you should play even tighter and even more aggressive online at small-stakes tables. If you buy one book on limit Hold'em, this should be it. (hauntedpoker.com)

The choice of a poker room is also an essential poker strategy. It is maybe even the most important one, as it can, in the long term, have a tremendous impact on your earnings.
