From the publisher:

For today’s poker players, Texas hold ’em is the game. Every day, tens of thousands of small stakes hold ’em games are played all over the world in homes, card rooms, and on the Internet. These games can be very profitable — if you play well. But most people don’t play well and end up leaving their money on the table.

Small Stakes Hold ’em: Winning Big with Expert Play explains everything you need to be a big winner. Unlike many other books about small stakes games, it teaches the aggressive and attacking style used by all professional players. However, it does not simply tell you to play aggressively; it shows you exactly how to make expert decisions through numerous clear and detailed examples.

This text presents cutting-edge ideas in straightforward language. It is the most thorough and accurate discussion of small stakes hold ’em available. Your opponents will read this book; make sure you do, too!

Independent Reviews

A book for limit hold 'em players, it teaches pretty much everything you could learn from a book in order to beat bad players; the concept of equity, how to realistically count outs, when to raise for value, and much more. It's not all-encompassing, but it will last you quite awhile. The games this book is primarily geared for (loose but passive tables) are seemingly not that prevalent online anymore except at the very lowest limits if you look only at the preflop play, but the lessons are still very much applicable because bad players still make the same mistakes they used to on and after the flop. This should be one of the first books any limit player gets, today.(cardschat.com)

By far the best book on Limit Hold'em on the market today, Small Stakes Hold'em is a great read for both beginning and intermediate players. It effectively explains the theoretical foundations of Limit Hold'em and helps a player make proper preflop and postflop decisions. While the writing is a bit bland, there is a wealth of information contained in this book.(pokertips.org)

This is one of the best books written on how to play low limit poker against a large field of opponents that you will find today. The strategy suggested by Miller, Sklansky, and Malmuth is an exceptional guide to help you crush the loose games at the low limit tables in casinos or online at your favorite poker room.(pokermagazine.com)

The choice of a poker room is also an essential poker strategy. It is maybe even the most important one, as it can, in the long term, have a tremendous impact on your earnings.
